It combines a 4.0 GHz turbo with two QuickAssist devices for cryptography and compression plus integrated Ethernet and Dynamic Load Balancer and Data Streaming accelerators, aimed at security appliances, SD-WAN and edge servers that need high throughput in a single package. It launched at $2,616, and Intel later raised its recommended price.
