Intel Itanium 9750

4C/8T · 170 W

The Itanium 9750 is a 4-core, 8-thread model of the Itanium 9700 series (code-named Kittson), the final generation of Intel's IA-64 server processors, launched in May 2017. Functionally identical to the Poulson-based 9500 series, it is a 133 MHz faster successor to the Itanium 9550, running at 2.53 GHz with 32 MB of L3 cache, a 6.4 GT/s QuickPath Interconnect and a 170 W TDP in the LGA1248 package. Pairing a full 32 MB cache with only four cores, it was aimed at workloads that favor per-core performance in HPE Integrity mission-critical servers. Intel has since discontinued the Itanium line.

Notes
Itanium uses the IA-64 instruction set and cannot run x86 versions of Windows; Windows 10 and Windows 11 were never released for it. It is used mainly with HP-UX on HPE Integrity servers. The Linux kernel removed IA-64 support in version 6.7, and current Ubuntu, Fedora and Arch Linux releases do not support it.
