2C/2T · 25 W

The Core 2 Duo SP9600 is the fastest model of Intel's 45 nm Penryn small-form-factor processors, added in the first quarter of 2009 at 316 USD. The SP line packs a standard-voltage 25 W dual-core chip into a compact 22 x 22 mm package for thin-and-light notebooks. Notes
Not supported by Windows 11: version 24H2 and later require the POPCNT and SSE4.2 instructions, which Penryn (SSE4.1) does not have. Windows 10 (64-bit) is the newest Windows release that will install. Ubuntu, Fedora and Arch Linux still target the baseline x86-64 level and run on it. Not a supported ChromeOS Flex platform.
