Intel Core 2 Duo SL9600

2C/2T · 17 W

The Intel Core 2 Duo SL9600 is a low-voltage, small-form-factor notebook processor from Intel's 45 nm "Penryn" generation, soldered down in a compact BGA956 package for thin-and-light business laptops. Released in early 2009, it is the fastest of the 17 W SL-series parts and keeps the full 6 MB L2 cache and 1066 MT/s front-side bus of the larger Penryn die.

Notes
Not supported by Windows 11: version 24H2 and later require the POPCNT and SSE4.2 instructions, which Penryn (SSE4.1) does not have. Windows 10 runs, as do Ubuntu, Fedora and Arch Linux, which still target the baseline x86-64 (v1) ISA. Not a supported ChromeOS Flex platform.
