Intel Core i5-11400F

6C/12T · 4.4 GHz · 65 W

The Core i5-11400F is a six-core Rocket Lake desktop processor launched on March 16, 2021, and a popular budget gaming choice thanks to its low price. Its Cypress Cove cores are a version of the 10 nm Sunny Cove design back-ported to Intel's 14 nm process, bringing AVX-512 and PCI Express 4.0 to the LGA1200 platform. The F suffix means it has no integrated graphics, so a discrete graphics card is required.

Notes
Microsoft lists 11th Gen Intel Core processors as supported for Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2, and Windows 10 is supported as well. Microsoft has not published a separate processor list for Windows 11 26H2, so the 25H2 status is carried over. Mainstream Linux distributions and ChromeOS Flex are supported. A discrete graphics card is required because the processor has no integrated graphics.
