Intel Core i3-7130U

2C/4T · 15 W

A later Kaby Lake-U dual-core added in mid-2017 as a faster alternative to the Core i3-7100U for thin-and-light laptops, within the same 15 W envelope. Like other Core i3 U-series chips of its generation it has no Turbo Boost, and it supports Intel Optane Memory.

Notes
Windows 10 runs on this processor, but Microsoft's Windows 11 supported-processor lists start with 8th Gen Intel Core, so 24H2, 25H2 and 26H2 are unsupported. Kaby Lake implements SSE4.2 and AVX2 and meets the x86-64-v3 baseline that current Ubuntu, Fedora and Arch builds assume, and machines of this era are supported by ChromeOS Flex.
