The Core 2 Duo E7200 was the first model of Intel's E7000 series, a 45 nm Wolfdale-3M dual-core for LGA 775 desktops released in 2008. It runs at 2.53 GHz on a 1066 MHz front-side bus with 3 MB of shared L2 cache in a 65 W TDP. Positioned as a budget alternative to the E8000 series, it adds SSE4.1 over the 65 nm Core 2 chips it replaced, but its M0-stepping silicon does not support Intel VT-x.

Notes: Windows 11 is out of reach: the chip is far below the 8th-generation floor on Microsoft's supported-processor list and its platforms offer no TPM 2.0 or Secure Boot. Windows 10 and the mainstream Linux distributions still install, because they are built for the x86-64 baseline, but the CPU has no SSE4.2 or POPCNT, so any software that requires x86-64-v2 or newer will not run. ChromeOS Flex does not cover hardware of this era.
