The Intel Core 7 processor 240H opens the Core 7 tier of Intel's Core Series 2 laptop line and is the first of the family to favour performance-cores over efficient-cores: six Raptor Cove cores and four Gracemont cores give 10 cores and 16 threads, which suits lightly threaded work better than the 12-core 220H below it. Clocks run from a 2.50 GHz performance-core base to 5.20 GHz, with 24 MB of Intel Smart Cache and a 64-execution-unit Intel Graphics engine to 1.55 GHz. Base power is 45 W with a 115 W turbo ceiling, and memory support reaches DDR5-6400 or LPDDR5/x-6400 to a maximum of 96 GB.
