AMD Ryzen Z1

6C/12T · 4.9 GHz · 9 W

The AMD Ryzen Z1 is the entry model of the first Ryzen Z1 handheld gaming processors, announced on April 25, 2023 alongside the Ryzen Z1 Extreme. It combines two Zen 4 cores (up to 4.9 GHz) with four compact Zen 4c cores (up to 3.5 GHz) and a 4-CU RDNA 3 GPU, a much smaller graphics configuration than the 12 CUs of the Z1 Extreme. It powers the base model of the ASUS ROG Ally. Its default TDP is 28 W, configurable from 9 to 30 W.

Notes
Microsoft's Windows 11 24H2 supported-processor list names this processor and the 25H2 list names the Ryzen Z1 Series; 26H2 keeps the 25H2 requirements. AMD publishes no OS support list for the Z1 series, but it uses the same Phoenix-family silicon as the Ryzen 7040 Series, which AMD supports on Windows 10. Fedora and Arch Linux run on mainline kernels (SteamOS-based distributions also support the chip), and ChromeOS Flex installs on generic 64-bit x86 hardware.
