AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5995WX

64C/128T · 4.5 GHz · 280 W

The Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5995WX is the 64-core, 128-thread flagship of AMD's Threadripper PRO 5000 WX-Series (Chagall), launched on March 8, 2022 in the Lenovo ThinkStation P620 and released to the DIY market later in 2022 at $6,499. It uses eight fully enabled Zen 3 chiplets with a 12 nm I/O die, raising boost clocks to 4.5 GHz over the 3995WX while keeping the sWRX8 socket and WRX80 platform, with eight-channel DDR4 and 128 PCIe 4.0 lanes. Unlike its predecessor it is unlocked for overclocking.

Notes
AMD lists Windows 10 64-bit and Windows 11 64-bit support for this processor, and Microsoft names the Threadripper PRO 5945WX through 5995WX on its Windows 11 24H2 supported-processor list and the Threadripper PRO 5000 WX-Series on the 25H2 list; no separate 26H2 list has been published, so the 25H2 status is carried over. Zen 3 is supported by mainline Linux kernels, so current Ubuntu, Fedora and Arch releases run normally.
