AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1920X

12C/24T · 4.0 GHz · 180 W

The Ryzen Threadripper 1920X is a 12-core, 24-thread high-end desktop processor from AMD's first Threadripper generation, announced on July 13, 2017 at $799 alongside the 16-core 1950X and released on August 10, 2017. It uses two active eight-core Zen dies with three cores enabled per core complex, and with XFR it can boost to 4.2 GHz on up to two cores. Like the rest of the family it runs on the TR4 socket and X399 platform, which brought quad-channel ECC-capable DDR4 and 64 PCIe 3.0 lanes to enthusiast desktops.

Notes
AMD supported Windows 10 64-bit and Linux for this processor. First-generation Zen processors, including the Threadripper 1000 series, do not appear on Microsoft's Windows 11 supported-processor lists for 24H2 or 25H2, so Windows 11 is not officially supported; no separate 26H2 list has been published, so the 25H2 status is carried over. Zen is supported by mainline Linux kernels, so current Ubuntu, Fedora and Arch releases run normally.
