AMD EPYC 9745

128C/256T · 3.7 GHz · 400 W

The EPYC 9745 is a 128-core, 256-thread model of AMD's 5th Gen EPYC 9005 series, launched on October 10, 2024. It belongs to the Turin Dense line, which uses compact Zen 5c cores built on a 3 nm-class process to fit more cores per socket for cloud and throughput-oriented workloads. Its cores are spread over eight core chiplets with sixteen cores each, giving 256 MB of L3 cache, and it runs at 2.4 GHz base, 3.45 GHz all-core boost and up to 3.7 GHz maximum boost. It offers twelve channels of DDR5-6400 memory and 128 PCIe 5.0 lanes on the SP5 platform and supports single- and dual-socket servers. The default TDP is 400 W, configurable between 320 W and 400 W. An EPYC Embedded 9745 version is offered for embedded and storage systems.
