The EPYC 9016 is the entry, eight-core model of AMD's EPYC 9006 series (Zen 6, formerly code-named Venice), announced on July 23, 2026. It uses the SP8 platform, which AMD positions for balanced, power-efficient servers at edge sites and in smaller clusters, and it works in one- or two-socket systems. With eight memory channels, 128 lanes of PCIe 6.0 and a 700 USD list price, it suits memory- and I/O-heavy workloads that do not need many cores, or software licensed per core.
