The EPYC 7402 is a 24-core, 48-thread second-generation EPYC (Rome) processor launched on August 7, 2019 for one- and two-socket servers. It shares the four-die layout and 128 MB of L3 cache of the EPYC 7352 but raises the clocks to 2.8 GHz base and 3.35 GHz boost within a 180 W TDP, giving it some of the highest base clocks in the original Rome lineup.
