The A8-8600P is a quad-core model of AMD's sixth-generation A-Series laptop APUs (Carrizo), the family AMD introduced in June 2015. Two Excavator modules are combined with six-compute-unit Radeon R6 graphics on a 28 nm system-on-chip that also integrates the chipset, and the platform was the first for notebooks with hardware HEVC video decoding.
